Adam J. Fernandez is a founding member and Partner at Berger Fernandez. He is an experienced litigator and trial attorney representing clients injured as a result of motor vehicle/commercial vehicle/trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents. maritime/boating accidents, defective/unsafe products, and trip/slip/fall hazards. Mr. Fernandez has experience litigating complex "Dram Shop" claims against bars and restaurants for the sale of alcohol resulting in intoxication-related injuries, such as drunk driving motor vehicle crashes. Mr. Fernandez also litigates first party insurance claims against insurance carriers that have wrongfully denied insurance coverage. As a result of his steadfast efforts, knowledge and experience, he has secured multiple settlements for his clients in the millions of dollars up to eight figures.

He is a graduate of the University of Florida where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with honors in 2005. Mr. Fernandez went on to receive his law degree at Stetson University College of Law in 2008 and became a sworn member of the Florida Bar in October 2008. Upon becoming a member of the Florida Bar, he became an associate at one of the oldest and most respected litigation firms in Bradenton, Florida. He then accepted a position as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County, Florida where he prosecuted thousands of criminal cases and gained significant jury trial experience. Mr. Fernandez then joined a prestigious Tampa personal injury law firm where he would spend the next five years devoted to serving injured clients. He then accepted a position at a well-regarded personal injury trial firm where he would spend over six years litigating personal injury negligence claims and would become a partner. Mr. Fernandez and his partner, Brett Berger, Esq. formed Berger Fernandez in January 2024.

He has received an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest possible rating for legal skills and professional ethics as reviewed and confirmed by judges and other colleagues. He has also been honored each year by Florida Super Lawyers since 2015 evidencing the highest degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Adam was recognized in 2024 as a "Best Lawyer" by U.S. News & World Report, a peer-review publication that highlights top legal talent. He is also a member of the Florida Bar, the Florida Justice Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association.

Adam is native Floridian and has lived in Tampa Bay for over 35 years. Adam is an avid outdoorsman with a passion for saltwater fly fishing. Adam's love for the water has inspired him to fight for clean water in Tampa Bay as board member of Tampa Bay Waterkeeper, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting, improving and preserving the Tampa Bay watershed.
